CARE OF KIMBERLY QUEEN FERNS
Light: All ferns, the Kimberly Queen included, do best in bright indirect light: ; hanging it in front of a window with a Northern exposure would be ideal.
Water:
Ferns like to be moist but never soggy. The fronds of a Kimberly Queen turn a pale green when it needs water. Crispy brown
fronds, especially in the center of the plant, indicate too much water.
Fertilizer:
Feed a fern once a month in the spring and summer and every other month in the fall and winter. Always dilute the plant food
to ½ strength and never feed a fern that has very dry soil.
Propagate:
The easiest way to start a new plant is to simply split the root ball of the old plant in half.

KIMBERLY QUEEN PLANT FAQ’S
1. The tips of the fronds on my Kimberly Queen fern are turning brown and dying before growing to
their full length. The fronds of a fern need plenty of space to spread out. If they touch a window or table they
will turn brown and stop growing. Excessive fertilizer can also burn the tips.
2.
Can I hang my fern in a Southern window? Your fern will not do well in the direct sun of a Southern window try
a northern or eastern exposure.
3. I have Boston fern that is always dropping leaves
and making a mess. Will a Kimberly fern be much better? Although a Kimberly fern does not have quite the long
draping fronds of a Boston fern, it is quite superior in everything else. Easy to grow with large almost upright fronds that
rarely drop leaves; this is almost a care-free fern.
